Both are the same spider, one is the topside, the other is the underside

t is in fact an orb weaver. Orb weavers weave their webs in the archetypical round pattern. There are many types. Check the link provided for more info. I'm only ID'ing the first of your pics. Are they different critters? If so, the second may not be the same as the first.

Yup, this thing is huge, well for a spider around here, like the size of a half dollar coin. Someone thought maybe it was an orb spider?
