Field Notes

Description:

Early in the morning, when the sun came up and before the butterfly was fully heated up I could get real close and make the close up of the head. One of the differences with other Fritillary butterflies lies in the orange colored hairs on the nose and I sure want to try and get those well "covered". Overall I had luck that my 'model' was quite willing and remained in place with me moving with my big lense in front of it ;-)
