Description:
This slightly leathery mushroom was a beautiful dark blue-grey in colour. The cap was about 50 mm wide with an eccentric attachment via a short blue-grey stipe. The white gills were adnexed ( curved close to the cap) and some f them appeared to fork nearer the margin (pic 2).
Habitat:
Spotted growing on a fallen rotting eucalypt log on the beach - inlet/ Snowy River estuary.
Notes:
These fruiting bodies can be differentiated from Crepidotus by their white gills. <br> Family: Tricholomataceae
