Description:

This is a North Island Kākā. An inquisitive and friendly native parrot of New Zealand. Less cheeky than the closely related Kea, but still more than capable of rifling through your bags if given the opportunity!

Habitat:

Mainly found in lowland native forest. Main foods include nectar; for which is is under severe pressure from introduced Wasps.
