Description:

Locally this is called the 89 butterfly. Diaethria clymena is a species of butterfly of the Nymphalidae family. It is found from Mexico to Peru and Brazil. The wingspan is about 30–40 mm.

Two days running I found one of these butterflies in my bedroom in the morning.

Habitat:

Low mountainous rainforest area between San Isidro de la General and Dominical in Costa Rica.
