huhuuuu. black widow, i think i would had something of an instinctiv respect, and had the mushroom,be mushroom & was going home!! i'm more scared for toxic animals than to prove , if toxic mushroom or not! animals are unpredictable and fungi at least on short terms well.
know that very well, to see some important details first at home, sometimes i was going back because of that!!
:) I did get pics of the spider. It was a False Black Widow although I didn't know it was false until I looked at the pics on the computer. I'll take a look for the common name now.
hi, when you haven't took a picture of the gills, have you at least made some of the spider ?? :) ! when i remember right was the common name "milking bonnet" or better you take a short look at "eol" or some spotting from project noah will be enough. (just enter the latin name in the search- windows- by organsism !! no problem you're welcome
Alex, you're very helpful as always! M. galopus it is. I just added it to urban biodiversity too. I found it in an underground water meter :) I tried to get a pic of the gills but it was so deep in the hole and I had to keep my eye on a large spider that was down there. I suppose I could have picked it but I tend to want to leave organisms untouched. Thank you for your help!
hi cindy, i think this will get a "mycena" !! you know the routine: search for brown small mycena in california. (i think, maybe you have already other specimen of brown mycenas, otherwise it will be found fast !). Take a look at the : "mycena galopus" just as directions !!! :) . nice how you get the most features and you could also put it into urban biod. (doesn't i see a wall - man-made--> urban) good luck
