Field Notes

Description:

It was found during Spring. I don't know the common nor the scientific name, though I'd really like to write something more about this little but beautiful flower.

It seems that you're right, you must apologize my ignorance on this field :) I have more pictures of the same plant, as soon as I can I will upload them. That will provide more information in order to make a more accurate identification.
This looks quite similar http://www.stockphotopro.com/photo_of/name/A2JBRK/Common_name__Manuka_
There are many varieties. Look at how many leaves this one has: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/133712/
I think that's unlikely. This flower has more petals and the petals have irregular shapes, which is not observed in tea tree blossom.
