Field Notes

Description:

I found black liquid on top of this mushroom cap. I wrote PN for Project Noah with it. i have to do more research to see if the ink from mushrooms was possibly used in Fountain pens for writing. The pictures show how the mushroom originally started out . The end was a rolled up cap with a slender stem.
It took about 2 days to turn from picture number5 t0 picture number 3

Habitat:

Under a tree.

thanks. Did you check to see what happened to the mushroom you spotted? It probably ended up in this same way.
It was awesome to see it turn into an inky cap!
