Field Notes

Description:

It was about 7 cm long

Habitat:

It was found on a playground by our house around 1230pm.

Notes:

We thought it was injured because it kept try to hop, but couldn't. We helped it climb into a bowl to move it to the yard by our house. After a couple minutes it's wings started vibrating/fluttering very quickly and then it flew away.
(My children came running to the house to tell me they had found a flying sushi 😂 I thought they were playing pretend until I saw it by the slide)
