Field Notes

Description:

These birds are everywhere in the Galapagos Islands. They have no fear of humans so you can walk right up to them. This was taken while we were walking over big rocks that had many boobys just hanging around. They are friendly funny birds. When hunting, they fly above the water in huge swarms, and when they see a school of fish, they all swoop down like rockets into the water to get the feed. I will add a photo of them looking for fish in a huge swarm around our boat.
