Description:

Smallish scarab styled coleoptera 20mm - 17 black spots on cadmium yellow - smallish 'antler' style antennae

Habitat:

Suburban yard in low hills near National Park, Victoria, Australia

Notes:

Sitting still on agave type succulent...

Thanks for that martinl. I should have thought to look in Brisbane insects which reminds me - Did you notice the massive wildlife invasion from the north with all the rain starting last year? (Golden drone flies and the Common Koel are 2 that spring to mind)
Nice Scarabaeidae family beetle.
Nice shot. Antennae out like that looks cute. I found them on flowering ti trees but none yet this year. Can you send some up?
