Field Notes

Description:

Also known as Aeolid Nudibranchs and Ringed Flabellina. Found singly or in pairs, feeding on hydroids, coral, sponges and anemones.

Habitat:

Coral and rocky reefs amongst sand and rubble areas, widespread in the Indo-Pacific region.

Notes:

I believe this nudibranch was laying a ribbon of eggs when I spotted it, at a depth of about 15 meters. It was at a dive spot called Mushroom Rock, in the island of Samal, Davao del Norte.
