Field Notes

Description:

A beautiful white Crab Spider (Thomisidae) with some red coloration.
The tips of its legs are striped red.
There is a red "V" in marked in front of its abdomen.
The red patterns on its head looks like some common bandit mask.
It has some red colours to help it blend into the red color of the flower it lives on.
(The red flower is not a rose)
It's length is about 8 mm.
This spider is a female.

Habitat:

A type of red flower plant in Kinabalu National Park, Kundasang, Sabah, Malaysia.

Notes:

Another spider species that I found here in this park that I've never seen elsewhere.
A magnificent specimen but a poor photography.
I hope one day I can have the chance to spot this species again and take some better clearer pictures of it.
See the 3rd picture and you can see that its head looks like a masked bandit's face.
>>>Map accuracy : 15m radius.
