Magnificent Chromodoris

A vibrantly-colored nudibranch, but is easily mistaken for other species, such as Chromodoris strigata and Chromodoris elisabethina. The markings vary from animal to animal, so the best way to identify C. magnifica is by the colors: if it has a white-colored margin along the edges of its mantle, and if the rhinophores and gills are darker in color than the orange band of its body, then it's Chromodoris magnifica.
