Euclea delphinii
29.6865, -98.083
Field Notes
Description:
Pale green with off-while and yellow orange bands. Clustered mounds of spines running down length of body. Saddle shaped. 1.1 to 1.25 centimeter long. Flat on "stomach".
Habitat:
Unknown. Possibly arboreal. I assume it fell from a tree onto my car.
Notes:
Witnessed in evening on the hood of my car, 45 degrees Fahrenheit outside, I gently removed it with the blade of my knife and placed it in the branch of a live oak tree.
