Field Notes

Description:

Salticidae; Myrmarachninae; Myrmarachne sp. I cannot say much about this spider as my notes taken at the time were. to say the least, rather sketchy. However I can say that this ant mimic has evolved over aeons of time to look like an ant of the Genus: Polyrhachis and in that, it has been amazingly successful.

Habitat:

Spotted in front garden on the leaf of a Pawpaw (Carica papaya) locally known as Papaya.
