Description:

Red toad stool type mushroom, found out in woods in KY by a local lake in June 2011. Has beautiful grooves on underside, little white spots..

Habitat:

Wet warm humid area, shady, in edge of forested area in rotting leaves near puddle

Notes:

warm wet lots of thunderstorms this summer left puddles which formed marshy wetlands where leaves rotted and caused mushroom and fungi growth
