Description:

This species of solitary potter wasp builds jug-shaped mud nests.

Habitat:

Spotted hovering over ornamental plants in large semi-urban yard & garden next to a disturbed patch of remnant lowland forest.

Notes:

I have not yet located specific records for Papua but found in the Moluccas and northern Australia...e.g. http://gvcocks.homeip.net/hymenoptera/Vespidae/Eumeninae/delta_campanif…
