Field Notes

Description:

A raft of white pekin ducks (Anas peking) swimming on a small lagoon of water that is isolated from the main river - 漓江LiJiang River in YangShuo阳朔.
The rock behind them is a large rocky hill.
They seems to be dipping their heads down into the water and rise up again.
They are either taking a bath or feeding.

Habitat:

Waters of LiJiang River 漓江, YangShuo阳朔, GuangXi广西, China.

Notes:

While touring the Li Jiang River at Yang Shuo in China by boat, I spotted this group of ducks floating on a small pool of water isolated from the main river by sand and stones.
They were about 100 meters away from the boat.
I took a picture of them even though I knew that my camera was not designed for distance bird photography.
>>>Map accuracy : 3km radius.

Yes, seems like it. In China, I have seen a lot of these in farms and in restaurants. This is the first time I get to see them in the wild.
From what I can make out, most are Pekins.
