Field Notes

Description:

This is a herbaceous perennial some 30 cm tall, with large and dense inflorescences, full of small sky-blue flowers. Flowers are about 1cm or less in diameter, and sport bright yellow centers. leaves hairy and elongated.

Habitat:

Here, observed growing in shade in a mixed alpine forest, at about 900m of altitude, and on a shoulders of forest road on slopes. Natural Reserve of Jura mountain range.
