is not a garden;) ok, these Fritillaria are very common around here but do not look like any Fritillaria I find the net or in books .. Is Fritillaria lusitanica;)
As far as I can tell from online Floras, its the only species native to Portugal. Seems to be quite a variable species in terms of flower colour and markings too. This looks like a wild area. Do you think this is a garden escape David?
Thanks for the IDs but I think it is not the Fritillaria lusitanica, I do not know ...
