Description:

Common european shrub, often found along waysides, fields, forest edges and open woodlands. Has red berries in autumn, containing a high level of vitamin C. After being exposed to frost the berries become soft and the pulp inside can be eaten or used for making jam.

Habitat:

Forest edge.
