Description:

It's ok, you can laugh. It's not big foot, I promise! This is an owl that has screeched every night & has avoided my camera. It's the first time I saw it when the camera was with me! It's a light color but when it flew, it was white underneath. The screech told me it's a Barn Owl.

Habitat:

Telephone pole in backyard

. This does sound like the barn owl. though I here a lot of hoots in my neighborhood.
Here's the screech I heard: http://www.owlpages.com/sounds/Tyto-alba-3.mp3
Ya, they're so loud when they screech but then are nearly invisible! I was hoping to find this one asleep in the barn next door but no luck. I figured I may as well upload these and hope someday I get a better pic!
could very well be a barn owl.Very elusive.
