Moth sunbathing in the early afternoon. Wingspan approx. 3.5 cm (1.4 inches).

Habitat:

Hills overlooking Manila.

That looks good to me. I was suggesting a USA site which is interesting but not so helpful. Well done
It looks like a brown version of this spotting: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/6906806 - Hyposidra talaca
There's thousands of geometridae moths and this link will give you an idea of how many. I cannot find a suitably close match.
