Description:

Our small male friend eating in our back yard. The smallest woodpecker in the North America (North of the Rio Grande) Length 17cm (6.5inch) Wingspan 29cm (11.5inch) We only feed in the baskets when the cold comes. http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/downy_woodpecker/id

Wood land and gardens.
