Description:

Gorillas live in groups called troops. Troops tend to be made of one adult male or silverback, multiple adult females and their offspring. However, multi-male troops also exist. Silverbacks are typically more than 12 years of age and named for the distinctive patch of silver hair on their back which comes with maturity.

Habitat:

The western gorilla lives in west central Africa while the eastern gorilla lives in east central Africa.

Notes:

Sorry guys... I wish this was a free gorilla, but the photograph was also taken at the zoo in Mexico

Oh! Sorry, DanielePralong. I'll change it. Thnx ^_^
Hi MundoVivo! Thanks for indicating that this is a zoo spotting, which are welcome at Project Noah. However the location of your spotting must indicate where the picture was actually taken, and not where the the animal is normally found. This applies to your other zoo spottings as well. Thank you in advance for rectifying the locations.
