Description:

Mountain goats are the largest mammals found in their high altitude regions. They inhabit the Rocky Mountains and Cascade Range of North America. The mountain goats living on Mount Evans are not a native species. They were introduced to the area in 1948.

Habitat:

These mountain goats summer near the 14, 265ft. summit of Mt. Evans.
