Beautiful! All the egg links from bayucca are fascinating! I guess if we don't catch Mama in the act, we'll never know for sure.
Looks like pinwheel macaroni noodles. WOW! This is too cool! Great spot!
How sure we can be that these were beetle eggs?? I do not now much of insects eggs, there is not much trustable info about these eggs, the most often statement is "eggs of an unknown insects". If you think these are beetle eggs, I would believe you, but more I would like to know WHY these are beetle eggs (apologize my ignorance about eggs...). What you definitely should all look at the following link to enjoy the fantastic and strange and beautiful structure these eggs are! http://om911.com/close-up-view-insect-eggs.html Some more links: http://www.treknature.com/gallery/photo25503.htm http://technabob.com/blog/2009/06/08/weird-insect-eggs-dont-need-no-special-effects/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:21_Phasmid_Eggs.jpg http://www.daff.gov.au/biosecurity/import/general-info/cargo-and-shipping-news-and-activities/osp-bulletin-may-2011 http://magickcanoe.com/blog/2007/06/08/the-bug-that-laid-the-silver-eggs/ http://vintageprintable.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/Botanical%20-%20Pathology%20-%20Educational%20plate%20-%20Pathology,%20some%20kind%20of%20insect%20eggs%20or%20something.jpg
