Certainly. After scouting an area for bowhunting deer, my buddy & I placed a trail cam about waist high on a small tree facing a heavily used trail with fresh deer sign (rubs, scrapes, etc.) We subsequently recovered some very wonderful, high resolution, digital photos. No doubt the cat was using the trail frequented by the deer.
