Hi floridagirl. I looked at your suggestion, but while the berries are almost identical the plant is very different.(this plant's leaves are pointed instead of rounded and it has no thorns). It did however lead me to the cestrums. Many of them have white berries instead of red or purple. I've looked at many and still haven't found a satisfactory match.
It was a reasonable lead, Ava, but I think I've exhausted that line. If something else come to mind, I'm all ears. Thanks
There's something called Gray Dogwood (Cornus racemosa), that looks similar, but it has red stalks on the berries.
