Description:

I thought it was some strange insect at first. This is only 1/8 inch at the most. I thought it had cool properties. Better than velcro. HA!

Habitat:

Meadow in the Poconos

I checked this seed as of yesterday. It is still caught on the same reed and we had a number of rain storms and winds since Nov. 24th. Amazing!
You have no idea how many of those things I pull out of my dog's coat! And now I see why they are so difficult to pull! You're welcome.
You are amazing! It is Queen Anne's Lace (wild carrot) Daucus carota seeds. I found an exact match. I never thought I would get an ID so quickly. Thanks so much Karen.
Awesome macro. I looked up aster seed and they seemed slightly fuzzy, but nothing like this one with recurved spines. Maybe wild carrot?
