Description:

They are erect or climbing herbaceous plants that reach from 0.50 to 1 (-1.5) m tall, with adventitious roots visible. The inflorescences are extra-axillary, shorter or nearly as long as adjacent leaves, 1-5 flowers

Habitat:

Dispatched by Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua and Panama.

I was having trouble because the closest thing I found these flowers were the "Stapelia" but now thanks to you i know what it is, these were plentiful in the hill of my community, are very nice though it is the first time I see them greetings to all!
This is amazing David! Thank you so much for sharing it. I'd never seen one before but the flower has typical Apocynaceae (Milkweed) traits, so after a bit of digging this is what it seems to be. Very few images on the net for something so beautiful and flamboyant, even as Matelea pavonii as I guess it either was or now is.
