Wildlife Spotting

Dakduif, checked out the net for knapweed. I think we are definitely getting closer! The flowers look really similar, but the leaves still don't look correct. Dakduif, Looked into knapweeds, and the flower seems to match, but the leaves seem different than those mentioned in this article... http://www.ag.ndsu.edu/pubs/plantsci/weeds/w1146.pdf but I think we are getting closer. Will take a closer look at a couple of my other postings in case they are also knapweed, not thistle.

Dakduif, I think all the pictures are of the same plant. Anyway, I took them together. 2 & 3 show an just opened bud, and an old flower like you thought. I always thought cornflowers were blue, interesting that these are pinkish...
