hi julieedwards, this could be a "conk" (baby) of your previous spotted "orange brackets" . when you look at the basis, where the stem is attached to the tree, it isn't clean as, from a pleurotes. It is somewhat chaos at the base, as will it spread everywhere from the base. i could believe it the same species just as conk.
