Field Notes

Description:

Stink bugs are not native to the USA, but are actually from Asia. They can be considered an invasive species and pest. They eat plants, fruits, and vegetables, but some are predators. They don't grow to be very long, they tend to be 12 to 17 mm long. They also leave a foul smell/taste when killed, meaning they lack predators, which leads to invasions in the fall (when they are most active).
