Description:

Delicate and brilliant red and black wren, the female is a dull brown and buff while the male boasts brilliant crimson to bright orange red back and undertail with jet black wings and head especially during breeding season. Also known as orange-backed wren or black-headed wren.

Habitat:

Red-backed Wrens are found from south east through to north west of Australia in an arc around the east. they prefer tropical grasslands and less arid environments.
