Field Notes

Description:

This moth was on the window in a pouring rain. I think it might be the same species as 2 previous spottings - maybe sexual, seasonal or just individual variation? Family Geometridae.

The third picture was taken on 10 June 2014 of an individual in the same place, but it lacks much of the brown spotting on the wings. I still think they are the same species. Maybe of the genus Xanthotype?

Habitat:

Garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
