Habitat:

Worldwide

Notes:

Adult blow flies feed on nectar, while their young ( maggots) feed on dead animals and decaying matter. They are beneficial as they decompose dead materials. Although, I find them pretty disgusting. They can transmit disease being they feed on decaying matter. However, they are usual for the medical field in that forensic medicine uses the infestation of maggots to tell how long a person has been dead.
