Description:

Cap to 100 mm, brown to dark red-brown, fairly tough, leather like regular in shape, funnel-shaped. Pores underneath off-white shades, fine pores; spore print white. Stem stout, often eccentric, brown and felty

Habitat:

rotting wood on the forest floor
