Description:
All golden 8mm fly with darkly outlined segments
Habitat:
Sub tropical areas, breeds in stagnant water
Notes:
Not a very good photo but important because this fly was well out of its normal territory. At the same time as we experienced a record wet summer and saw many other instances of invaders from the tropical north. Commonly around Brisbane 2000km north.
