Field Notes

Description:

Sparrow sized bird with uneven streaks on breast. Often with some red around the lower head area. I hear them more frequently in the garden as it gets colder in Florida.

Habitat:

Verges of Woods, Suburbs, seem very adaptable.

Notes:

For a time they stayed away from my feeder. I think earlier this Fall, one of the hawks may have surprised them. The Tangerine tree does give them good protection.
