Field Notes
Description:
Looked like a Gray Fox (Urocyon cinereoargenteus townsendi), but low light means it could have been a Red Fox; no idea if it was a native Sierra Nevada Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes necator) or a non-native subspecies.
Habitat:
Sierra Nevada Foothills, suburban/rural, grassy hills with plenty of cover, oak trees.
Notes:
If someone is able to confirm this as a Gray Fox that would be helpful!
