Field Notes

Description:

A terrestrial green-flowered orchid native to Florida.

Habitat:

Open forest floor in areas of deep leaf litter. This plant seems to have few other species in competition in the deep leaf mulch.

Notes:

I snapped a few photos of nearby reinorchids about two weeks ago but the lighting was terrible. I found another two or three patches of reinorchids this morning and took some better photos

Craig they are indeed a pain to photograph... especially when laying on a forest floor in Florida
Thanks for these. I love Habenaria! The small green flowered species are swines to photograph though.
