Description:

white-beige clumpy shelf fungus, also sometimes called "dinner plate fungus"; many "shelves" colonizing decaying stump

Habitat:

tropical mountain forest of mixed trees, including native koa and ohia, as well as alien eucalyptus, with fern-and-vine understory and grasses growing on open ground

Notes:

spotted on the south side of the Aiea Loop Trail on Oahu
