Description:

Some sort of ball fungus that looked a lot like a moldy, partly-shriveled potato; a better description is "non-descript"

Habitat:

Tropical upland of mixed trees, including ironwood, ferns and grasses

Notes:

Spotted along the Palehua Trail on the crest of the Waianae Range above Nanakuli Valley.
