Description:

I wanted to know what was curled up in a banana leaf on a tree in the garden so unfurled it and found this. The first photo was taken at 9:14 and the second and third photos taken at 14:00

Weaver ants. I have never seen their queen before. Looks like there are eggs, even one in the queen's mandible.
A new queen for red ants..they gonna build new colonies right?
