Field Notes

Description:

Yellow moth with variably pink band below the PM line. Costal edge on upper half is bordered pink too. Also has two claviform spots. Long palps give it a snout appearance.

Habitat:

Spotted on a sheet hanging on my porch with black lights and halogens shining on it at night to attract moths. We live in a gated lake community surrounded by rural agricultural land, and some wooded areas.
National Moth Week 2017.
