Field Notes

Description:

Also known as Lepista nuda and Tricholoma nudum.
It is an edible mushroom although they are known to cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals, particularly likely if the mushroom is consumed raw.
Cap of 5 to 15 cm with colour ranging from brown, to lilac and purple-pink.
first convex and then flattened with age.
Short and stout stem. Gills attached to it.
nice odour.

Habitat:

It is a common mushroom usually found in both coniferous and deciduous woodland. This one was found in an open forest of pine-trees and holm oaks
