Field Notes

Description:

In Pakistan most commonly observed lady bugs are red coloured with black spots. Here they are most commonly called "lady birds." It is uncommon to find them during winters but in early spring seasons they frequent parks and gardens. Especially in northern areas of Punjab and the Potohar plateau provide natural habitats for the lady bugs.
