Description:

Small cup shaped fungi, called birds nest fungi because the spores inside the nests looks like eggs in a nest. A good example is in the second photo where sojme of the nests have eggs.

Habitat:

Wet or damp habitat, requires that it be exposed to rainfall or at least droplets which are an aid to spore dispersal.
